Lebanese artist Zein El Omr's father passed away today, and he mourned him with heartfelt words on his social media page.
El Omr shared a picture with his late father on Twitter, accompanied by the message: "God be with you, Abu Tony. God be with you, my friend. God be with you, my father. Heaven is graced with you, Sheikh of youth. You broke my back, my beloved. Christ has risen." He also included the hashtag #Abu_Yusuf. Additionally, the Lebanese artist posted a photo of the obituary, writing: "Now I have a guardian angel in heaven. Keep your eyes on us, my beloved, my father."
The prayer service for the deceased is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, in the afternoon, at the "St. Antoine Al-Badawani" Church. Fans and colleagues from the artistic community expressed their condolences, wishing peace for his father and patience for the family. Artist Nagy El Astal wrote: "May God have mercy on him and give you patience, and may his soul rest in heaven." Maguy Bou Ghosn wrote: "May God have mercy on him and comfort your hearts," while Lebanese artist Najwa Karam expressed her sorrow, stating: "May God have mercy on his soul, may he be in heaven." Commentator Rudolf Helal added: "May God comfort your heart; it truly breaks the back and heart." Others who offered their condolences included Bassam Moghnieh and media figure Neshan.
In light of the current circumstances and the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, and to ensure everyone's safety, the El Omr family thanked everyone willing to participate in the ceremonies, noting that they are accepting condolences via phone or social media.
