Losses in Iraqi Army Following Attack on Ain al-Asad Base

"Sky News Arabia" reported losses among the Iraqi army following an attack with several drones on Ain al-Asad base in Anbar. It mentioned that a second attack occurred with a drone laden with explosives on the Al-Omar oil field base near the Iraqi-Syrian border, which is occupied by U.S. forces. The attack on Ain al-Asad base comes 48 hours after the international coalition announced that three rockets had fallen on the "Ain al-Asad" base. In recent times, Ain al-Asad base and Baghdad International Airport, where U.S. forces are stationed, have been targeted in several attacks, using either rockets or drones. The United States attributes the attacks to Iranian-backed militias amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran. The U.S. has 2,500 military personnel in Iraq, out of 3,500 members of the international coalition present there.
