Egyptian Dancer Dina Confined to Bed After Contracting COVID-19

Egyptian dancer Dina revealed today, Friday, the developments of her health condition after contracting the coronavirus.

She stated that she caught the virus after traveling to Aswan with her four friends. Upon returning from there, she began to feel some mild symptoms, prompting her to undergo necessary tests, but the results did not show anything initially. However, her symptoms worsened, and she experienced "bone aches and shivering," according to her account.

Dina confirmed her COVID-19 diagnosis after blood tests and a chest CT scan, as well as a nasal swab which indicated she had contracted the virus. She noted that she feels exhausted and unable to walk easily, feeling heavy in movement, along with a fever and a cough that has affected her voice, making it difficult for her to speak.

She emphasized that she will remain in bed and adhere to home isolation according to her doctor's instructions "until her situation improves," especially since her condition does not require hospitalization, as she described.

Dina stressed that she "will not take COVID-19 lightly after recovering, as her infection caused her both physical and emotional pain." She also referenced recent controversy after she shared a video on her social media account, showing her dancing by the Nile. She added that she "was enthusiastic about the idea to promote tourism in Luxor and Aswan, especially since her official account has a large following from various Arab and foreign nationalities."
