The Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, announced the arrival of the first shipment of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Lebanon in the last week of February.
The National News Agency reported that the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, tweeted after Pfizer confirmed the start of vaccine deliveries beginning in mid-February, stating that the COVAX platform has officially informed us of the arrival of the first shipment of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the last week of February. The minister emphasized the necessity of cooperation and commitment to overcome this critical phase of the pandemic's spread.
