A new study has revealed that one age group is more likely to contract the new variant of the coronavirus, "Omicron," than any other group. The "Hull Daily Mail" reported that one age group in the UK has recorded the highest number of Omicron infections, accounting for around 40 percent of total infections with the new variant.
Figures published by the health research group "Zoe" show that over 40 percent of new infections occur among those aged 18-35. The second most affected group is those aged 35-55, making up about 29 percent of new infections. The data indicates that the infection rate among individuals aged 18 to 35 has skyrocketed since late November, while the infection rate for those aged 35 to 55 has sharply increased since early December.
Regarding the third group, it includes individuals aged 18 and under, followed by those aged 55 to 75.
