Broccoli: The Key to Fitness and a Friend to the Heart – Here Are the Vitamins It Provides

The Federal Centre for Health Education stated that broccoli offers numerous health benefits; it has a unique combination of minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, phytochemicals, and dietary fibers. The Federal Centre explained that broccoli is a friend to the heart due to its content of vitamin B9, polyphenols, and antioxidants. It also helps strengthen bones thanks to its calcium and vitamin K content.

Broccoli contains carotenoids, which protect against age-related vision problems, and it helps prevent cancer, skin aging, Alzheimer's, and rheumatism due to its antioxidants that combat what are known as "free radicals" that attack body cells. Additionally, broccoli is rich in iron, which is important for blood production, folic acid which is essential for pregnant women, vitamin C which strengthens the immune system, and vitamin E which stimulates collagen production responsible for skin elasticity and its firm appearance.

Broccoli is considered a key to fitness, as it aids in weight loss due to its dietary fiber content that prolongs the feeling of fullness, and it is low in calories; 100 grams of broccoli contain about 30 calories only.
