Huawei has launched the new Smart Screen SE smart TV available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes with 4K resolution. The Chinese company stated that the new TV covers 92% of the DCI-P3 color range and includes a 13-megapixel camera along with the HarmonyOS system.
The camera primarily enables video calls on the TV, while also providing additional functionalities such as capturing group selfies and the ability to use it as a surveillance camera accessible through a smartphone when the user is away, with the option to easily remove the camera for user privacy protection.
HarmonyOS 2.0 offers some interesting features; for example, when playing a video on a Huawei smartphone, it only requires a brief press of the remote control to play it on the TV, which also applies to photos and music. The TV can be remotely controlled using a linked smartphone app.
HarmonyOS also provides a Karaoke app and a child mode that can be configured by parents. The remote control has a built-in microphone for voice command control and the device supports two HDMI 2.0 ports.
