An Egyptian bride attempted to take her own life just 24 hours after her wedding by jumping from her bedroom on the third floor in the al-Badraschin area. The bride was taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the public prosecutor began an investigation. The incident started when security authorities in Giza received a report about a girl falling from the third floor and being transported to the hospital.
Upon the police's arrival at the scene, it was found that the bride, aged 16, had attempted suicide after 24 hours of marriage. Investigations revealed that the bride's family had come to congratulate her on her wedding. She left her family with her husband, who is 24 years older than her, claiming she was going to prepare juice. Suddenly, the husband and the bride's parents heard a sound of something crashing on the ground.
Investigations indicated that the bride jumped from the third floor in an attempt to commit suicide after being forced to marry a 40-year-old man. A report of the incident has been filed, and the public prosecutor is investigating while the girl remains in critical condition in intensive care.
