Iraq and the United Nations Discuss Drug Control and Crime

The Minister of Interior, Othman Al-Ghanemi, met today, Monday, with a representative from the United Nations to discuss drug control and crime in Iraq. Al-Ghanemi's office stated that he met with Ali Al-Bareer, the coordinator of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Iraq, to discuss a number of topics of mutual interest, primarily coordination and cooperation in combating drugs, psychoactive substances, and crime in its various forms. The meeting also addressed enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the United Nations Office in a way that serves the public interest and the policy of the Ministry of Interior.
