The management of the Egyptian Al Ahly Club announced the distribution of 300,000 Egyptian pounds to each player on the team and a month’s reward for the South African head coach Pitso Mosimane and his assistants, as stipulated in his contract with the club, totaling $125,000. Mahmoud El Khatib, the president of Al Ahly Club, urged the financial management to quickly prepare the players’ rewards for disbursement before the match against Sudanese club Al-Merrikh, scheduled for next Tuesday in the first group stage match of the CAF Champions League.
The club also announced plans to organize a grand ceremony to honor the first football team after the achievements they have attained recently, especially winning the treble of the CAF Champions League, the Egyptian Cup, and the league, in addition to the bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup. Mahmoud El Khatib stated, after consulting with the members of his council, that the ceremony would take place after Ramadan to ease the precautionary measures against the coronavirus.
