Nesma Badr: Second Test Positive and Asthma Worsens Condition

Artist Nesma Badr revealed the latest developments regarding her health condition after nine days of being infected with the coronavirus, noting that her second test result was also positive.

She pointed out that her condition is unstable, especially since she suffers from asthma, and her doctor advised her to rest completely and not to move except for extreme necessity within the house. Nesma Badr had announced her infection with the coronavirus nine days ago, posting on her personal Facebook page: "I have COVID-19... God protect us." She later apologized for not responding to her friends, stating: "Please forgive me for not being able to answer the phone, unfortunately, I'm short of breath and wheezing, and thank God for everything. Thank you so much for your concern; I read all the lovely messages... May God protect everyone."

Before contracting COVID-19, Nesma Badr had contracted with director Mohamed Sami to film her role in the series "Nassl Al-Aghrab," starring Ahmed El Sakka, Amir Karara, and Mai Omar, which will be aired during the upcoming Ramadan. She plays the role of "Ghazia Ajarba" from Upper Egypt. She is also involved in the series "Between Heaven and Earth," written by Islam Hafez and directed by Mando Al-Adl, which will be presented in 15 episodes during the holy month. It's noteworthy that Nesma Badr played a leading role in the series "L'Awlaw" with Mai Omar, which aired on ON TV and achieved great success. She has also finished filming the movie "Today is a Beautiful Day" with Hena Shiha and Basel Samra, directed by Nivin Shelbi, and participates in the film "Laila Al-Eid" with director Samah Abdel Aziz and several other artists, as well as the film "The Court," directed by Mohamed Amin.
