Boussaab Calls for Adjustment of Vaccination Mechanism and Platform

MP Elias Boussaab has called for adjustments to the vaccination mechanism and platform, as well as the establishment of additional vaccination centers throughout Lebanon.

The National News Agency reported recently on Boussaab’s tweet indicating that the current vaccination mechanism is not working well. He pointed out that about 17% of those registered on the platform are from the northern Metn area, while the only center in Metn has vaccinated only over a thousand people (about 2%), despite a total of over 55,000 vaccinations in Lebanon. Boussaab demanded changes to the mechanism and platform and urged the establishment of more vaccination centers across Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Dr. Riyad Abu Al-Aynain, the director general of Al-Hamshari Hospital, sent a COVID-19 response unit to the Burj Camp, in coordination with area commander Major General Tawfiq Abdullah, following a plea from the crisis cell in the Burj Camp concerning children infected with the coronavirus.

A pediatric specialist accompanied the team to examine the children and conduct PCR tests on infected cases. The delegation included doctors, nurses, and paramedics, with ambulances ready to transport any patients to Al-Hamshari Hospital if needed.
