The Sudanese army stated in a statement that 21 officers and a number of soldiers were arrested in connection with a coup attempt on Tuesday morning, and efforts are ongoing to capture the remaining individuals involved. Brigadier General Taher Abu Haja, the media advisor to the army chief, said in the statement that the armed forces have regained control of all sites that were seized by the coup plotters.
