Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated via Twitter: "All our support for the army in its mission to enforce the rule of law, protect society, and apprehend those disrupting security and order. Our heartfelt condolences to the martyr of the army who fell while performing his duty, and our prayers for the injured for a speedy recovery. May God protect Lebanon and its army."
