The head of the political council in Hezbollah, Mr. Ibrahim Amin Sayyed, described the campaign against Hezbollah and the resistance as a "dirty war on both internal and external levels."
In an interview with "Radio Al-Nour" during the program "Today's Politics," he considered it a "war of the failed and defeated against the powerful and victorious resistance." He noted that "all this noise will not affect it nor its decisions and projects, and that the image of the fighters is too great to be undermined by anyone." He confirmed that "everyone knows the party's commitment to forming the government as quickly as possible," rejecting the "linking of the formation process to the Iranian nuclear deal," categorizing that as "an exaggeration," and arguing that "waiting is meaningless and indicates the failure of some politicians who wish to shift responsibility onto others."
Mr. Sayyed urged the Lebanese people to "solve their problems and not wait for foreign countries to do so," clarifying that "Hezbollah always tries to bring the points of view of the political factions closer together."
Regarding the relationship with allies, Mr. Sayyed stressed that "Hezbollah operates according to the equation of respecting allies and appreciating their positions and efforts, while necessary maintaining their independence from it," considering this a "moral value that many parties lack."
Concerning the relationship with the Free Patriotic Movement, Mr. Sayyed pointed out that "there are sometimes differences in methodology and mechanisms," emphasizing that "this does not harm the relationship with the movement, and that there is no alternative to the Mar Mikhael understanding."
