Notably, Sherine took to social media, specifically the TikTok app, where a account appears with the name "Sherine loves Mourad." The account has one video in which Sherine, after shaving her head but wearing a cap, directed a message to a person named Mourad.
Sherine mentioned that she found a number of beautiful messages sent by Mourad to her daughter, in which he expressed that he is one of Sherine's greatest fans in the Arab world. Therefore, she decided to record this video to tell him: "I love you." The video amassed 5 million views.
In reaction to the incident, Mourad revealed that he returned from university one day to find a video about him launched on TikTok by Sherine Abdel Wahab's daughter. He also published a video stating that Sherine now knows he is a real person existing on Earth, mentioning that he has her pictures in his room and loves her very much.
