According to a poll by "The Washington Post" and "ABC News," 34% of participants strongly approve of his performance, while 35% strongly disapprove. The area that received the most support from Americans was Biden's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, with a 64% approval rate, which includes 33% of Republicans. Approval for his handling of the economy is at 52%, while 53% disapprove of his approach to immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border. According to "Bloomberg" news agency, former President Donald Trump's popularity at the same stage of his presidency was at 42%, with 53% disapproval. The poll was conducted by phone from April 18 to 21 on a random sample of 1,007 adults, with a margin of error of 3.5 for the entire sample.
