This statement from the Syrian ambassador comes in response to the assaults on several buses carrying Syrians participating in the presidential elections in some areas of Lebanon while en route to the Syrian embassy in the Yarze region. Today marks the start of the Syrian presidential elections for citizens living abroad, with the Syrian embassy in Lebanon opening polling sections for Syrians to cast their votes.
