Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated after a rare meeting on Wednesday with a senior Emirati official that Turkey and the UAE have been in communication over the past months and have managed to make some progress. Erdogan added that he discussed investment in Turkey with Emirati National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noting that good progress in talks means that the UAE would have "huge investments" in Turkey. The Turkish president also mentioned that he is open to meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
