UAE Offered Mediation Between Russia and Ukraine

The Novosti agency revealed that high-ranking officials from the UAE proposed to Russia to mediate in a prisoner exchange with Ukraine. The agency reported, citing security sources on Monday, that "high-ranking representatives of the UAE, considering the current situation in Ukraine, approached the Russian side with a proposal to assist in the exchange of captured detainees." The same sources noted that the proposals presented by the UAE will be taken into account when preparing prisoner lists with the Ukrainian side.
