The bread crisis in Bekaa has worsened with the depletion of subsidized flour quantities allocated for bakeries. Most bakeries have stopped selling bread, although some have remained open to sell cakes and other flour derivatives. Notably, distribution to stores and supermarkets ceased at the beginning of this month, which has led to a severe crisis and long lines in front of bakeries.
