"Coup Attempt" in Sudan and the Sovereign Council Issues an Urgent Call to the People

Sudanese state television announced this morning, Tuesday, that a coup group attempted to seize control of the situation in the country, urging the masses to confront it. For his part, a member of the Sudanese Sovereign Council and its official spokesperson, Mohamed Al-Faki Suleiman, called on all Sudanese to defend the country. In a comment on his Facebook account, he said, "Rise to defend your country and protect the transition." However, he later added in a new comment that "things are under control and the revolution is victorious."
