Executive Orders on Immigration to be Signed by Biden Today

White House spokesperson Jen Psaki stated that U.S. President Joe Biden will sign three executive orders on immigration today.

The White House spokesperson added that the first executive order aims to create a team to reunite families separated by the previous administration. She continued that the executive orders the president will sign are intended to integrate legal immigrants.

President Biden will sign a series of executive actions to begin reuniting migrant children who were separated from their parents after crossing the U.S. border, take steps to restore the asylum system, and review changes made by former President Donald Trump's administration to the legal immigration system.

On another note, the Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has dismissed all members of the Pentagon’s policy advisory boards. This decision was made to prevent advisors appointed by the Trump administration from taking their positions.
