The source stated, "38 fatalities and 30 cases of injury and suffocation have been recorded due to the fire at the COVID-19 isolation center." The source added that "the Director General of the Civil Defense, Major General Kazim Bohan, has headed to Nasiriyah following the major fire," confirming that "three oxygen cylinders exploded as a result of the fire." A security source reported today, Monday, that a fire had erupted at the isolation center for COVID-19 patients in Imam Hussein Hospital in Dhi Qar province.
