The internet search giant "Google" has added a long-awaited new service to its popular maps, used by millions of people worldwide. This new service notifies users in advance about the congestion levels in a specific area. The new feature is called "Busy Area" and can be accessed after updating the application on smartphones and tablets.
The service displays nearby crowded areas based on the user's location, showing the phrase "Busy Area" above these locations. This feature helps people planning to visit a friend or dine in a bustling part of the city that typically experiences high foot traffic and vehicles. Users can click on the "Busy Area" icon, which brings up a schedule detailing congestion levels throughout the day, along with prominent restaurants and shops in the vicinity.
Google stated on the support page dedicated to the maps: "We have integrated real-time congestion trends in an area, such as stores, restaurants, parks, cafes, and others, to determine the general congestion level in that area." Additionally, these indicators show how busy the area usually is, and when a user is nearby or when the area is at its busiest, the "Busy Area" signal is highlighted.
