Hamas officials told CNN that a ceasefire is "imminent, possibly within 24 hours." A Hamas leader indicated that there are "positive atmospheres" surrounding talks to reach an agreement with Israel "thanks to the support of our Egyptian and Qatari brothers" who have proposed various solutions. The official stated that the general demands of the Palestinian people remain clear: ending the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and establishing a mechanism for the reconstruction of Gaza after the Israeli destruction. No comment has been made by Israel regarding a potential ceasefire agreement. Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he would continue the Israeli military operation in Gaza until "its goal is achieved." Meanwhile, Moussa Abu Marzouk, Hamas's leader abroad, stated late on Wednesday, "It is the occupation that is pleading for a ceasefire."
