Social media platforms circulated a video showing a Belgian artist strolling in Brussels wearing a "glass bubble" filled with aromatic plants inside, as reported by "RTE News." The footage depicts "Alan Verschuren, 61, an artist and social worker, walking around in the glass bubble containing thyme, rosemary, and lavender, while the public takes souvenir photos with him. RTE News stated that Verschuren developed the idea inspired by the green oases in Tunisia, where he previously worked in a city where face coverings were mandatory. Verschuren said, “When I first created this portable bubble 15 years ago, it was about creating a bubble where I could isolate myself to escape from a world I found either too boring or too foul-smelling.” He added, “Over time, I noticed that people would come up to me and talk to me. This isolation became a means of connecting with others.” Verschuren's invention has gained new life with the fondness for the quirky idea.
