Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid in Brussels on Sunday, marking the first such meeting since a new multi-party coalition took power in Israel last month. The spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Twitter that Shoukry emphasized "the need for urgent action to break the current stalemate between the Palestinian and Israeli sides in order to launch fair and comprehensive peace negotiations."
