Sources from "Al Arabiya" confirmed on Tuesday evening that Egypt did not host any Iranian security delegation nor hold any discussions with Tehran. Cairo has conditioned any similar steps on the cessation of Tehran's interventions. The sources noted that Egypt has rejected dialogue with Iran and any security coordination with the country. They also pointed out that Cairo is concerned about Iran's interventions in several Arab nations. Additionally, Egypt requested that Iran stop its proxy wars in the region and emphasized the need for Tehran to halt its interventions in the affairs of neighboring countries. It is worth mentioning that Tehran has attempted multiple times to coordinate security and intelligence efforts with Cairo through Iranian security officials, but Cairo has refused due to various reservations, according to the sources. Iran is involved in several Arab countries such as Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, where it supports militias loyal to it that undermine the sovereignty of these nations.
