Dr. Olaf Reichelt stated that prostate cancer primarily affects elderly men, noting that in the initial stage of the disease, there are no warning signs. The German urologist added that in the advanced stage of the disease, some symptoms may appear, including difficulties during urination, and bone pain in the lower back and sides. Reichelt emphasized the importance of consulting a doctor as soon as symptoms are noticed, explaining that prostate cancer can be verified through several tests such as a sensitivity examination, the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, MRI scans, and biopsies to take cell samples. He confirmed that early diagnosis increases the chances of recovery, mentioning that treatment includes hormonal, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, radiation, and in severe cases, surgery. Prostate cancer can be prevented through a healthy lifestyle based on proper nutrition, regular exercise, quitting smoking and alcohol, and losing weight in cases of obesity.
