Iraqi Security Media Cell announced today, Sunday, that several members of the Federal Police were killed and injured after clashing with ISIS elements in Kirkuk province. The cell stated in a brief message on Twitter that the clashes occurred in the Rashad district of the province, without providing further details.
Meanwhile, a security source reported on Sunday that the death toll from the ISIS attack on the Federal Police in Kirkuk has risen to 12 victims. The source told local Iraqi media that the attack by ISIS elements on the 19th brigade, 2nd regiment of the Federal Police in the village of "Tal Sattih," affiliated with the Rashad district in Kirkuk, has resulted in 12 victims, with three others injured.
According to the source, ISIS elements attacked the 19th brigade, 2nd regiment of the Federal Police in the aforementioned village. The source indicated that seven members of the Federal Police fell as victims, while others were injured due to the attack. Additionally, the source mentioned that the road leading to the mentioned village is fully mined, making it impossible for ground support forces to reach the area.
