Most days today involve people staring at one screen and then moving to another, as screens have diversified nowadays, ranging from computer screens, tablets, smartphones, televisions, and more. In this context, a recent survey published by the website "StudyFinds," which included 2,000 British adults, showed that 73% cannot imagine spending 24 hours without gazing at at least one of those screens.
**To What Extent Are We Attached to Our Devices?**
Researchers indicate that adults spend approximately six hours daily in front of screens on average, and thus, survey participants claim that their eyes are paying the price. At the same time, many others inform researchers that they struggle just to keep their eyes open by around six in the evening.
**Suffering from Dry Eyes**
The survey, conducted by "Artelac," also revealed that 41% of adults have been suffering from dry eyes frequently since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Interestingly, 60% of the adults surveyed anticipate that they will be staring at more screens while working from home following the pandemic.
