The media office at the Presidency clarified that what is referred to as "concessions" is, in fact, constitutional rights that the President is keen to uphold and advocate for.
The National News Agency reported the statement from the media office, which stated, "Some politicians and media figures use the term 'concessions' that President Michel Aoun should make in the context of discussing solutions for forming the new government. The correct view is that what is termed 'concessions' is, in fact, constitutional rights that the President is committed to maintaining and advocating for, based on his national, constitutional, and covenant responsibilities. These responsibilities cannot ever enter the lexicon of concessions, as they are constants that cannot be relinquished under any circumstances." The media office also noted that "the continued claims by some that President Aoun demands a blocking third, despite repeated denials, indicate a lack of objective arguments and resorting to unrealistic and fabricated claims."
