U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has formed a task force to curb online harassment, fulfilling one of President Joe Biden's campaign promises, following a random shooting that highlighted the connection between online abuse and violence. The group is tasked with devising a detailed plan within six months to address the issue, including more support for victims, prevention measures, and greater accountability for offenders and the platforms that host them. At the launch of the task force, Harris stated, "If it affects any one of us, it affects all of us, so it is our collective responsibility to stand together and support those who have experienced this issue."
