The Chinese news agency "Xinhua" reported a case of bubonic plague, known as the "Black Death," in the city of Yinchuan in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwestern China. The agency cited informed sources stating that the infected individual had returned to Yinchuan from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It noted that the fourth level of emergency measures for plague prevention and control has been implemented in the Ningxia Hui region.
