According to information from LBCI, individuals working for the United Nations in Syria have been using UN vehicles to smuggle goods from Lebanon to Syria. The latest incident occurred on July 23, 2022, involving vehicle number 1328, which was carrying goods prepared for smuggling and was driven by Syrian Mohammed Adnan Nabil Asadi.
