The covered hall of Cairo Stadium hosted the match between the Bahrain team and the Denmark team in the first round of Group D in the Handball World Cup held in Egypt.
Bahrain lost to defending champions Denmark with a score of (34-20). Denmark had the upper hand, leading (19-10) at halftime. Danish player Matthias Gidsel excelled, scoring 10 goals, leading his team to the top of Group D, ahead of Argentina, which defeated the Democratic Republic of the Congo earlier today (28-22).
It is noteworthy that Hungary achieved an important victory over Cape Verde (34-27) in the first round of Group A, while Cape Verde faced difficulties before the match due to some of its players contracting the coronavirus.
