The newspaper "Le Parisien" states that the French club proposed a contract extension worth 45 million euros per season, but the 22-year-old declined it, having previously rejected an initial renewal offer of 25 million euros per season.
If Neymar accepts the latest offer, he would become the highest-paid player in the world, surpassing his teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar. The young French star's contract with the capital club expires at the end of this season, at which point he could leave PSG for free.
