Are Food Supplies in the Port at Risk?

The president of the Union of Food Importers in Lebanon, Hani Bahsali, reassured the Lebanese that food supplies are far from the parts of the silos threatened with collapse in the Port of Beirut. He stated to "Voice of Lebanon": "There are no solutions yet in the process of extracting goods from the containers, and the efforts we made led to a partial alleviation but the problem remains unsolved as expenses are still accumulating." Bahsali pointed out that "the problem lies in the irregular attendance of employees to take samples, and thus the crisis continues with the ongoing strike in the public sector."
