Random Shooting Extends from Chicago to Evanston

The United States witnessed a shooting incident that extended from Chicago to Evanston.

At least 5 people were killed, including a 30-year-old student from the University of Chicago and another victim, a woman who was shot after being taken hostage, according to Evanston police. Two others were injured. The police identified the suspect as Jason Nightingale, 32 years old, and officials stated that Nightingale was also killed after an exchange of gunfire with the police. Earlier in the day, a student from the University of California was found shot inside a car in a parking garage at the Regent Park apartment complex.
