Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa discussed the historical relations between their countries and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, as well as developments in regional and international situations, on Thursday. According to a correspondent from Al Arabiya/Al Hadath, the Crown Princes of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain chaired a meeting of the coordination council between the two countries.
As part of his Gulf tour, Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Bahrain earlier today, where he was welcomed by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Prior to Prince Mohammed bin Salman's arrival in Manama, the Saudi-Bahraini coordination council held a meeting to discuss several common issues between the two countries.
The Saudi Crown Prince began his visit last Tuesday to the Sultanate of Oman, where they discussed several files of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation in political, economic, and military fields. He later visited the United Arab Emirates, where Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two countries and presented Prince Mohammed bin Salman with the "Zayed Medal" of the first degree.
On Wednesday, Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Qatar, continuing his Gulf tour. In Doha, he presided over the Saudi-Qatari coordination council meeting with the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Additionally, an amended protocol for the establishment of the council was signed, to be co-chaired by Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, in order to work on enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
It is worth noting that this tour precedes the 42nd Summit of the Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council, scheduled to take place this month (December 2021) in Riyadh.
