His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, met today (Wednesday) with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, at the United Arab Emirates Pavilion at "Expo 2020 Dubai."
During the meeting, both leaders confirmed that hosting a major global event like "Expo" in preparation for celebrating the UAE's golden jubilee and its readiness for the next fifty years reflects the influential role the country seeks to play in encouraging global dialogue aimed at finding solutions and alternatives that can unleash the latent potentials of the world's diverse cultures and civilizations. This, in turn, stimulates the establishment of new partnerships that support global development efforts, providing all countries, both developed and developing, with opportunities to participate in creating a better future characterized by equal chances for prosperity, progress, and flourishing.
They praised the exhibition's vast array of ideas and innovations that serve humanity and help overcome current challenges while turning potential future obstacles into opportunities for growth. They noted that the event represents an ideal opportunity for exchanging successful experiences and discovering new partnerships, facilitating the journey towards the desired future. It also serves as a cultural window to explore the civilizations of the world from East to West, contributing to greater intellectual and cultural convergence among nations, which forms a solid foundation for successful partnerships that align with their aspirations for the future.
