The U.S. Energy Information Administration has stated that there will be a decrease in natural gas production in the United States in 2021, due to the ongoing economic impacts of the lockdowns related to the coronavirus.
The Energy Information Administration indicated that a drop to 88.17 billion cubic feet per day of dry natural gas production could occur in 2021, while production in 2019 reached its highest level at 90.06 billion cubic feet. If this decline happens, it will be the first production decrease in two years since 2005.
