Mikati: Sportsmanship Will Not Be Disturbed by Extremism or Discordant Voices

A statement was issued by the caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, which reads: We congratulate once again the Lebanese basketball team for its victory in the semi-finals of the FIBA Asia Cup for men. This victory serves as a glimmer of hope for Lebanese youth and for Lebanon in these challenging times. On this occasion, I extend my greetings once again to the athletes who truly embody good sportsmanship, which will not be disrupted by extremism from here or discordant voices from there. To the Lebanese team, I say congratulations and I look forward to another moment of great success, God willing.
