Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg defeated English side Liverpool 1-0 in a friendly match as both teams prepare for the 2022-2023 season. Benjamin Sesko scored the only goal for Salzburg in the 31st minute of the match. Liverpool's German coach, Jürgen Klopp, kept most of his star players on the bench during the first half, including Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, before bringing some of them on in the second half, but the score remained unchanged until the end of the match. Liverpool is set to face Manchester City next Sunday to determine the champion of the 2022 FA Community Shield.
