In his latest appearance, the leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, advised his followers not to excessively lengthen their beards. Al-Sadr stated during his meeting with the Sadrist TikToker who calls himself "Al-Haji": "The long beard has become a common trend within the movement, with nicely trimmed mustaches and beards extending over an inch, and that is not correct."
Muqtada al-Sadr directed one of his followers to shorten his beard and let his mustache grow, saying: "Through you, we send a message to everyone that no one should do this. Keep your beard light and your mustache a bit—not completely trimmed. I am disgusted by this image."
Immediately, the TikToker followed Muqtada al-Sadr's advice and posted a picture of himself after having shortened his beard.
Just two days ago, Sadrist supporters circulated a video of part of Muqtada al-Sadr's visit to the Al-Sahla Mosque in Najaf to commemorate the night of the half of Sha'ban. The video showed a large crowd of citizens during al-Sadr's vehicle passage.
