The Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported that President Mahmoud Abbas is heading to the Jordanian capital, Amman, to meet with King Abdullah II, following the latter's invitation. Wafa clarified that "during the meeting, discussions will address the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them, as well as the latest developments regarding the Palestinian issue, and the continued joint coordination between the Palestinian and Jordanian leaderships on numerous matters of mutual interest." It was noted that Mahmoud Abbas will be accompanied on his visit by the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Sheikh, the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majed Farraj, and the President's diplomatic advisor, Majdi Khaldi.
