The Spanish newspaper "Marca" confirmed that Raúl González, former star of Real Madrid and coach of the club's second team, has tested positive for COVID-19 following his latest test results. He has isolated himself and is adhering to all health protocols.
Marca added that the former top scorer's infection has caused concern within the royal club, fearing further infections among other members of the second team.
Raúl had recently led Real Madrid's second team to win the UEFA Youth League for the first time in its history in August, defeating Benfica 3-2 in the final.
It is worth noting that Raúl has been rumored to replace Zinedine Zidane as the coach of the first team amid recent poor results for the squad.
