The Ministry of Social Affairs denied misleading information circulating on social media regarding the provision of immediate financial assistance of 400,000 Lebanese pounds to Lebanese citizens.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that any information coming from sources other than the Ministry of Social Affairs and the relevant official authorities remains in the realm of fabricated and malicious news. The ministry specifically refuted the false claims about the financial assistance stated on social media.
It is noteworthy that the text of the fabricated message read as follows: "Due to the situation the country is going through, the labor forces have decided to grant every Lebanese citizen an amount of 400,000 LBP as assistance for families unable to work in the current conditions. Enter quickly to register your data from here http://bit.ly/cash-help-LB."
