Election Observers Prepared... Observing a Strange Phenomenon

Ayman Dandach, a member of the administrative board of the "Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections" (LADE), pointed out that "the association's units, comprising both fixed and mobile observers, will be fully prepared to monitor the electoral process, with approximately 1,000 observers involved. Their tasks include following up on the work of the registration committees at the polling stations and monitoring the vote counting processes." In a statement to the electronic newspaper "Anbaa," Dandach noted that "a strange phenomenon was observed during the voting process for employees on Thursday, as there were several polling station heads who were not familiar with the electoral law and voting mechanisms." Regarding the violations reported by LADE, Dandach mentioned that "there are recurring violations in both the employees' and expatriates' elections, including failing to ensure the secrecy of the ballot as well as conducting election campaigns within polling stations."
